Soft Cheese Spread Board
I was asked to create a “soft spread” board by Inox Artisans to showcase some of their beautiful products. I chose a white cheddar cheese spread from a local grocery store as my base and built upon that with other flavors and textures I knew I would love to devour once the photo op was finished.
These types of boards are a fairly new concept, but how fun! Cheese Spread Boards make appetizers fun for your guests, your family, or just for you.
There is really no set recipe for this type of appetizer. Choose your faves and assemble. Then enjoy!
I toasted my chopped pecans because toasting adds more flavor! I also added some charcuterie meat slices for color, flavor, and variety. It also made this board a little more substantial; it could be served as a light meal.
Serve your board with toasted bread/baguette slices, crackers, and/or pita chips.
I really like the marble boards for this appetizer because of the natural characteristic of keeping cheeses and meats cold. Easy enough!
Other popular spreads you can try out are cream cheese, which can also be sweetened and turned into a dessert board, and butter boards served with breads, crackers, etc..
The ingredients below do not have amounts listed, as that is up to you – how many you are serving, the thickness of your layering of the ingredients, etc..
