Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • pinch of fine sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar, if desired, optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional

Instructions

  • Whip the butter in a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, or use a hand-held mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, approximately 2 to 4 minutes, depending on your mixer.
  • Add the honey, molasses, and a pinch of salt.
  • Whip on medium for 1 minute to combine. Taste and add any confectioners' sugar or ground cinnamon to satisfy your tastes.
  • Whip for another 1 to 2 minutes or until all the ingredients are combined well.
  • Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to use. Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
  • If your butter has been refrigerated and firmed-up, remove from the refrigerator about an hour before serving.
